This is How I Feel, Volume 52

this is how I feel

If you’re new here (hello!), This is How I Feel happens on Fridays, reflecting my deep, deep love of GIFs and dumb captions.

When out with a group of friends: “Where do you guys want to go to eat?” “Um, IDK, how about that place on Temple?” “I was there last week.” “No Chinese.” “I’m vegan again.” Meanwhile I’m slowly dying of starvation…

This is How I Feel, Volume 52

When there’s a line behind me and I’m trying to pick out a movie at Redbox.

This is How I Feel, Volume 52

When I disobey my GPS and it tells me to turn around.

This is How I Feel, Volume 52

When the radio plays Iggy’s Fancy… again. I know it’s catchy, but the flu is also catchy.

This is How I Feel, Volume 52

When Turn Down for What plays because I have it on all of my playlists.

This is How I Feel, Volume 52

Want more This is How I Feel? They happen every Friday riiiight heeere. If you’re new or you want to travel back and revisit them, you can click here to see them all, or click here to start at the very beginning.

That particular one made me LOL at my desk at work :)

You are a bottomless pit of hilarity. Please never stop! They always give me a lift just when I need it at the end of the week :)

This TIHIF was particularly awesome this week. Way to be on point, Roo. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank goodness someone else is as obsessed with Turn Down For What as I am.

  • Reply Ashley April 25, 2014 at 11:28 am

That baby’s got better moves than I do!

  • Reply Rebecca April 25, 2014 at 11:46 am

If I could laugh at work without people thinking I was crazy, I would. Good one this week!!

  • Reply Sarah April 25, 2014 at 11:55 am

I can solve ALL your redbox problems. I find and reserve the movies on my phone app so when I get to the box all I have to do is pop in my credit card, take the movies and go! It’s so much less stressful.

    • Reply Joy April 25, 2014 at 12:15 pm

Yes, totally agree with Sarah! I love reserving online. Pleeeaaase don’t be that person taking 10 minutes to decide on a movie when all I want to do is return my dvd.

I seriously just needed an excuse to use that GIF. :P I don’t even hit it up unless there’s a movie I know I want to see. :)

Yes. Just yes to them all, especially that dancing toddler!!! Girls got moves :)

Also just needed to point out that I have been receiving your snapchats and it’s my favorite thing.

That Iggy Fancy song… I believe Gwen Stefani did it (something super similar) ten years ago and waaaaaayyy better. But that’s my gray hair and experience talking. Youths!

Also never stop with TIHIF. Never stop.

  • Reply Amanda April 25, 2014 at 12:56 pm

This is my favorite TIHIF in a while! All of these were on point, and your response to being able to reserve redbox movies in the comments section was icing on the cake.

  • Reply Steph Reiner April 25, 2014 at 1:43 pm

Yeah I always get weird looks from my daughter when Siri is like “make a u-turn” and I’m like “DON’T YOU EVER TELL ME HOW TO LIVE MY LIFE!”

Hot Rod? Anyone? No? Just my husband who made me watch it and now I can’t stop quoting it? Okay, cool.

  • Reply Natasha April 25, 2014 at 3:24 pm

I died. Every one. Everything. Especially the GPS because I have road rage issues.

  • Reply Jennifer April 25, 2014 at 4:44 pm

I read a blog post once (and wish I could find it again and link here) about how whenever a group is trying to decide where to eat the first suggestion should always be McDonalds. Since groups of adults rarely want to go to McDonalds (of course drive thru by yourself is a whole other thing!) it gets the real creative juices going and more credible ideas are offered and decisions made. The post then turned the metaphor to creative projects and how sometimes throwing out a bad idea is a best first step to a truly successful project/product.

    • Reply Me Moo June 8, 2015 at 2:06 pm

That is BRILLIANT!!! I’m gonna throw the McDonalds card the next time my husband asks where I want to go!

  • Reply Kristin April 25, 2014 at 6:02 pm

I don’t know if I’m just in a really good mood or if you’re incredibly on point today.

Love love love the GPS one, I’m going to use that one often. I usually just mutter a “shut up, b*tch” but that is so much more creative.

  • Reply Megan April 25, 2014 at 6:36 pm

Oh my gosh, that baby is crazy!! How did that even happen!? I love that!

  • Reply Catherine April 25, 2014 at 10:49 pm

Ha ha, brilliant! All of them!

  • Reply MichelleLG April 26, 2014 at 12:26 am

Ok peeps, i got nothin but love for the NF readers (seriously, I would hang with any you at The Max afterschool for some grape sodas), but can we collectively agree to ban the use of “on point” in the comments? Please. Oooh, maybe we could institute an unoficial policy where all complimnets must be articulated in 90s lingo or emojis. Deal? :)

    • Reply Roo April 29, 2014 at 7:32 am

Oh is that my fault? I say things are on point all the time. *throws hands in the ayuhhh like I’m a true playaaa*

Seriously on emojis, though. They need to be enabled in every facet of my life.

  • Reply Kaelyn April 26, 2014 at 10:21 am

I love this one! TIHIF 4EVA!

  • Reply Amber S. April 27, 2014 at 1:13 am

Just arrived home after a family vacation during which all of us argued with our GPS. I think we ticked her off when we told her to shut up (recalculating, recalculating, recalculating–I can find my way back from the rest area, thank you very much!), because she randomly told us to turn right while on the freeway. Where there was no road. And her directions did not jive with the picture on her display… Hal? Is that you?!

  • Reply Brianna April 27, 2014 at 9:25 am

Love the dancing baby! Now I’m going to think of that whenever I hear that song. That Martin Garrix “Animals” song always reminds me of the girl from Despicable Me when she’s hitting her cheeks. Then I find myself in my car jamming out, and LOL’ing, and when the person next to me at the stop light gives me a weird look I just yell “Turn down for what?”

  • Reply Carlee April 28, 2014 at 12:08 am

Have you seen the music video for Turn Down for What?

    I hadn’t. Until just now.

    …..what is even happening….

ok i didn’t know what “Turn Down for What” was so googled it- i recognize it now that it’s playing. But i went back and watched the baby while the music was playing and laughed twice as hard. She’s gittin’ down! :)

  • Reply JN July 7, 2014 at 10:36 am

Why aren’t the people behind the baby laughing? WHY AREN’T THEY LAUGHING
